Rhinebeck 2025 Recap: Celebrating Community, Knitting, and Sheep!
Rhinebeck (The New York Sheep & Wool Festival)—it never fails to capture my heart. Even weeks after the festival, I’m still smiling thinking about all the yarn, sheep, and incredible people I got to meet. There’s something magical about this festival that goes beyond fiber: it’s the people, the laughter, the shared joy of knitting together.
Here are a few moments that made Rhinebeck 2025 unforgettable:
Book Signing: Patty Lyons’ Knitting Bag of Tricks
Thanks to everyone who came by for a book signing! It was so wonderful to meet you all. If you missed it, you can still grab your autographed copy on my website [here].
Keep an eye out for next October, when I’ll premiere my new book!!
Group Meet-Up Highlights
This year, I wore my Palm Canyon and Tortola sweaters, and I loved seeing your finished projects in person! Thank you to EVERYONE who came to our meet-up—it was incredible to see all your beautiful knitwear. I especially loved that we had a few knitters “on trend” (our playful code for unfinished projects). You all make these gatherings so much fun, and I can’t wait to see you again next year!
A special thanks to Carson Demers (Ergo, I knit) and Safiyyah Talley (The Drunk Knitter) for joining the meet-up—it was wonderful to share this time with friends and fellow knitters.
Modern Daily Knitting Photo Booth and Catching Up with Friends
The energy in the Modern Daily Knitting booth was pure joy—so many smiles, colors, and fun shots that will last long after the festival ends. I got to hang out with some amazing friends: Cecelia Campochiaro, Laura Nelkin, Carson Demers, and Ann Shayne.
Rhinebeck is the perfect place to catch up with industry friends! Below are a few photos to capture the happy moments: Catherine Lowe, Norah Gaughan, Olga Buraya-Kefelian, David & Carson Demers, and Safiyyah Talley (shown left to right in the photos below). And of course, I can’t resist a stop at the Three Bags Full Booth for a little bag shopping!
Sheep, Lambs & Cuddly Fun
Fluffy, playful, and totally charming—here are some snapshots of the cutest festival friends.
I can’t wait to see all your smiling faces, fabulous knitwear, and warm hugs at Rhinebeck! From the sunshine and fall colors to petting sheep and chatting with fellow knitters, Rhinebeck reminded me why I love this festival so much.
Goodbye for now, Rhinebeck. See you next year!
